Hello seed savers. This is an exciting project being organized by Philly Mural Arts to educate our region about heirloom foods. Numerous organizations and hundreds of people are contributing to this year's events. You don't want to miss out on this!

Philadelphia Science Festival Urban Farm Day, Sunday April 28

Growing your own plants or vegetables in the city? Learn how to test your soil, grow food locally, and even how to raise and care for farm animals. Spend the day in the garden with agricultural experts doing taste tests, gardening demonstrations, beekeeping basics and more. Philly Seed Exchange will have our seed collection available for swapping and sharing. Bring seeds if you got 'em, take ours if you need 'em.

Orchard Planting and Seed Exchange: April 20, 10a-2p

ORCHARD FEST: HUNTING PARK
(Hunting Park Community Garden, East of Old York Rd & W. Bristol St, North Philly )
Join in on a fun family festival at the site of the new Hunting Park Community Orchard. Activities will include orchard planting, cider pressing, sack races and other kids games, a health fair, dedication ceremony, and more! A collaboration between POP, the Fairmount Park Conservancy, Junior League, Hunting Park United, and a wide range of other community partners. Event 10am-2pm. RAINDATE: Sunday 4/21 @10am.

Nerd Nite

Join us Wednesday evening at Frankford Hall for Nerd Nite!
There will be a talk about seeds (and some other nerdy things...)

Here's the deets:
It is officially spring, and it's about time we heard about plants again. And what's that? Toilet flushing? Oh yeah, we're going to hear about that too. And some really bad ass assassins, you ask? Yes! We're on that! And there's going to be really some really sweet guitar playing and singing to boot.
